That’s right, no one takes notice of the law until someone gets injured or even worst, fatally hurt. There has to be a strict enforcement of the speed limits, and that may mean getting folks where it hurts…in the pocketbook.

Great post. There were hundreds of speeding tickets given out in the 30mph school zone last fall. It wasnt until 2 children were hit at speeds of over 45mph until some kind of action was taken. The law is the law, but if its not properly enforced, the majority will not obey.

This federal tax increase is long overdue. It will fund the much needed State Children’s Health Insurance Program, aka SCHIP. Former President George W. Bush vetoed two previous attempts to pass this bill. The tobacco industry no longer has a reliable friend in the White House.

It has been shown that a 10% increase in cigarette prices leads to a 4% decline in smoking.

Just imagine how many lives this will save and at the same time provide healthcare for children who do not have health insurance. This is a a Win-Win situation.

Another reason to celebrate the end of the Bush/Cheney administration.
